CAD Manager

PCF Group is looking for an experienced CAD Manager.

As we continue to grow and seek new ways to better serve our customers, PCF Group is seeking a hardworking CAD Manager based in the Arlington or Renton, WA area.

Overview of the Position

The CAD Manager will be responsible for providing guidance and direction to the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence. This person will also plan, organize and manage work plans of the CAD project team and effectively evaluate team members for their technical skills, productivity, and performance. The CAD Manager will hire, train and supervise members of this team and maintain a positive working relationship with all members of the organization. This role will develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures to meet internal/external customer needs and identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies. Initiating and maintaining contact with clients for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues is imperative as well as communication back to the internal sales team and project manager.

We are looking for:

  •  5-8 years of experience in a CAD Design position
  • Bachelors Degree with a focus in engineering, design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 years experience managing, developing, and mentoring a CAD team with all levels of experience
  • Expert skills in CAD Design software (REVIT)
  • Client facing/customer relations experience

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Lumion a plus
  • Experience within the construction industry and/or architectural or engineering firm experience
  • Some experience with a CRM (Salesforce, Builderstrend, etc.)
  • Full remodel experience

Some responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the CAD team; Hiring, developing, and mentoring employees
  • Creating drawings and models from written and verbal specifications obtained from Sales, PM and Home Owners
  • Working with Sales/PM/HO regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards, and design documentation
  • Completing project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule
  • Maintain all revisions of project drawings
  • Prepare, submit and monitor permit package to jurisdictions
  • Track permits, retrieve approved permits, and submit supplemental information as needed
  • Work closely with Structural Engineer, provide revisions as necessary
  • Draw and review site plans
  • Coordinate with the sales team on structural selections for builders inventory homes
  • Utilize take-offs appropriately
